THOROUGH LOLER EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATION

A Thorough Examination is a statutory requirement for lifting equipment under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER 98), Regulation 9. There is a legal requirement for a Thorough Examination to be carried out at least every 6 or 12 months depending upon the type of lifting equipment, and often more frequently depending on conditions of use.

During examinations, all safety aspects of the lifting equipment are inspected and actions specified to remedy any defects found before they can create risks in use.

Certificates are issued for equipment that fulfil all the safety requirements of the examination.

PRE-PURCHASE
INSPECTION

Prior to the purchase of new or second-hand lifting equipment, we will carry out a Thorough Examination to determine whether the equipment is free from defects and fit for purpose. You must have lifting equipment thoroughly examined before using it for the first time (unless the equipment has an EC Declaration of Conformity less than one years old and was not assembled on site). If it was assembled on site, it must be examined by a competent person to establish that assembly was correct and safe, eg. a platform lift installed in a building.

ASM Ltd. can confirm that all our engineers are IPAF CAP certified to ensure all Thorough Examinations and repairs are carried out to the highest of standards.

MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
(ON & OFF SITE)

Our experienced engineers are able to undertake most repairs at the equipment locations however, where this is not possible, arrangements can be made to complete repairs off site.

To ensure lifting equipment remains in a safe condition, on-going maintenance is advised and can easily be carried out at the equipment location.
